When I woke up today, it was still 5 am. A lot of the girls around me were chatting. People waved to me from their bunks. Hark and I chatted, because everyone else was watching TV. We tried to go to sleep for 2 more hours, but it was not possible. I stared at the ceiling for a long time, until everyone woke up. We got dressed, and got ready for breakfast. It was buffet-style. It was delicious!!!!!!
We then was lead to a room, where we were handed out pairs of skis, poles, and boots. The boots were soooo uncomfortable. I could barely move my feet, it was so stiff! One if the instructors told me to bring a hat, so I had to CLIMB up the stairs and the ladder to my bunk, then I waddled back to the group. Just when I got in, everyone was been handed a helmet. I was puzzled, and asked the instructors if I really needed a hat. They said that they changed their minds about only wearing a hat, and they were passing out helmets. I was so shocked, but got a helmet.
We went outside to finally start skiing, We parted into groups by levels. Our instructor was Mr. Yuji, and I had Mio, Ruri, Shuei, Yuta, Taro and Darren. We were in the beginner group. We started on a flat surface and learned the basic things. I was really bad at stopping. I kept on falling down the hill when I was trying to go up! We had lunch after that, and it was curry. I loved it!
After lunch, our group went to our first hill, without our poles. When I first got onto the lift, I was so scared that I was going to fall. I survived, and got to the end safely. Our instructor helped us with getting ready, and we slid down an actual hill for the first time. I was so scared in the beginning, but I loved at the end. I didn't want it to end.
After a few slides later, it was time to end.
Next, we went for dinner. We had lots of different meat, and lots of other things. My favorite thing was the soup. It had macaroni in it!
Later on, we had a campfire. We sang around in a circle, and laughed a lot. The instructors brought out the sleds and we started to fly down the hill. A lot of the adults were pushing us down really hard or turning us backwards. I had ssssoooo much fun!
We then got ready to go to then onsen, and Mrs. Roberts told us that if we are back from the bath by 8:45, then we can have a monitored pillow fight. We rushed out and packed up our things, really fast, excited for the fight. We slammed each other with our pillows, and ran away! It was so great!
We got ready for the next day, since we are going home then, :(, and relaxed.
Good night!
